Brown Bag: Hope and Healing after an Affair using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
November 9 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pmFree
With Liliane Nahas, M.Ed., LPC-S, LMFT-S
Infidelity is one of the common reasons for divorce and is a frequent theme in couple therapy. Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy can help couples seeking therapy to heal their relationship after an affair.
Infidelity in most cases is a threat to any relationship and can damage the stability of the relationship. EFT therapists conceptualize affairs as “attachment injury” – a violation of trust that questions the basis of a relationship. By focusing on the key emotions and their attachment significance, EFT can help couples heal and form a secure attachment bond after an affair.
This workshop will explore attachment injuries along with the EFT approach to resolving them.
Please contact Constance Moore, M.Ed., LPC, CGP at 713-961-5055 or firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. HGPS Brown Bags are held at The Council at 303 Jackson Hill off Memorial.
